  • 1 1/2 cup of hot water

  • 1 tbsp of coconut butter

  • 2 tbsp of cacao powder

  • 4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp ground cardamom

  • ½ tsp ground cloves

  • a pinch of grated nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla powder or extract

optional 1/2 tbsp of vanilla protein powder

                a touch of liquid sweetener of choice

  1. Pour all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. Pour into your favourite mug, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, cacao powder or raw chocolate and enjoy!

The chocolate will be thick and can be eaten with a spoon. If you prefer your hot chocolate more on the thinner side, add more liquid and omit adding the protein powder.

If you don't have coconut butter, you can substitute for a nut or seed butter of choice.

If you don't have a blender, use 1 cup of your favourite milk. Coconut or almond work really well here.
